The Onam celebrations in the Ramakrishna Advaita Ashrama, Kalady began with the programmes organized by Brahmanandodayam Sanskrit Upper Primary School, Kalady on 2 Sep 2019. Swami Ishanandaji inaugurated the celebrations in a function presided over by Shri Sidil Kumar, PTA President.
Sahayanidhi, an initiative of the school meant to financially assist the flood-affected people, was inaugurated by offering a donation by Master Anand of Class VIIC, dressed in the attire of Mahabali.
On 3 September, Sri Ramakrishna English Medium Nursery School celebrated Onam. Swami Ishananda presided over the meeting organized in the Auditorium and inaugurated the function by lighting the traditional nilavilakku. Various cultural items were staged by the little boys and girls including the show of Mahabali. Swami Atmapriyananda, Vice-Chancellor of Vivekananda University, Kolkata, attended the function.
The Onam was celebrated by the Brahmanandodayam High School and Brahmanandodayam Higher Secondary School on 06 Sep 2019. Thiruvonam was celebrated in the Ashrama on 11 Sep 2019.
