As a sequel to the year-long celebrations of the 125th Anniversary of Swami Vivekananda’s Chicago Addresses (1893 – 2018), an All India Alumni Meet was held at Belur Math on 28 and 29 December 2019.
The inaugural session of the Alumni Meet was held on 28 December 2019. Most Revered President Maharaj Swami Smaranananda ji, Revered Vice-Presidents Swami Prabhananda ji and Swami Gautamananda ji, gave their benedictions. Sri Bibek Debroy, an alumnus and Chairman, Economic Advisory Council to the Prime Minister, was the Chief Guest.
The inaugural session was followed by another 5 sessions spread over two days consisting of lectures, discussions and reminiscences by our ex-students and monks.
The valedictory session was held on 29 December 2019 and presided by Revered Vice-President Maharaj Swami Vagishananda ji. Major General Jarken Gamlin, Indian Army, was the Chief Guest.
