Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Taki, is continuing relief services for the COVID 19 pandemic, to the families of daily labourers affected by the lockdown.
The ashrama is helping people who are living with bare income under lockdown conditions.
From 01 April 2020 to 25 April 2020 the ashrama distributed ration kits and sanitary kits as per the following report :
Dry Ration Kit Distribution:
Ashrama distributed Rice – 4872 kg., Dal – 1218 kg., Potato -1218 kg., Salt – 609 kg, Soya Bean – 243.6 kg, Edible Oil – 243.6 lts., Biscuits-1218 packets, to 1218 families in and around slums of Taki, Hasnabad and Basirhat.
Sanitary and Hygiene Items:
Ashrama distributed Soap Bar- 2436 nos. and Mask –Â 2436 nos.
Tarun Sangha Naktala, Kolkata Sponsored Relief:
Relief items are distributed to 85 families sponsored by Tarun Sangha Naktala, Kolkata on 18 April 2020. Item distributed Rice – 340 kg., Dal – 85 kg., Potato -85 kg., Salt – 42.5 kg., Soya Bean – 17 kg. Edible Oil – 17 lts., Biscuits – 85 packets, Soap Bar -170 nos., Musk – 170 nos.

From 1 April to 6 April 2020 the ashrama has distributed ration kits to 502 families, mainly the day-labourers who are staying in nearby slum areas.
