Ramakrishna Math, Bagda: COVID-19 Pandemic Relief Services


In continuation to the COVID-19 pandemic relief services Ramakrishna Math, Bagda, distributed ration kits to 50 families in Haridih and Chokia, the tribal-based villages under Puncha Block of Purulia District on 31 May 2020. Each Kit consisted of 2kg rice, 1kg pulse, 1kg potato, 1ltr mustard oil, salt (1kg pkt), atta (1kg pkt), semolina (0.5kg pkt), 0.5kg chira (parched rice), 4pc mango, soya chunk (0.2kg pkt), 0.5kg sugar, turmeric powder (50gm pkt), coriander powder (50gm pkt), chilli powder (50gm pkt), 1no towel and 1pc soap.

07 May 2020: The centre distributed ration Kit consisting of 3kg rice, 1.5kg pulse, 3kg potato, 0.5ltr mustard oil, salt (1kg pkt), muri (puffed rice-200gm pkt), 0.5kg chira (parched rice), 0.5kg soya chunk, 1 kg sugar and 1pc soap to 50 families of Patharkata & Madhabpur village under Manbazar(I) Block of Purulia District.

On 26 April 2020, the ashrama distributed ration kits consisting rice (3kg), dal (1.5 kg), potato (3 kg), mustard oil bottle (0.5 ltr), salt pkt, biscuit pkt, muri (parched rice) pkt and soap for hand wash to 50 families of Sambar community at Gogda, a remote village – 14 km away from the Ashrama.

Ramakrishna Math, Bagda, Dt. Purulia, has conducted relief work on 03 April 2020 considering the crisis situation due to the nationwide lockdown to prevent coronavirus infection.

Under administrative supervision and in presence of Jt. B.D.O and Sabhapati, Panchayat Samiti, Puncha, the ashrama has distributed relief materials (2kgs rice, 1kg lentils, 1 ltr mustard oil, 0.5kg pkt salt, soap for hand wash and detergent, 0.25kg pkt sattu, 0.25kg pkt semolina (suji), 50 gm turmeric powder pkt and 2 kgs potato for each family) among 100 needy Sabar families of Nirvaypur and Kultarn village under Puncha Block of Purulia District.
