Ramakrishna Math, Ooty, is continuing the relief services to families affected by the lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
On 17 May 2020, the ashrama distributed ration kits to 382 families in and around Ooty (Jallikuli, Lovedale estate, Kil Gandhinagar and Kil kodappamund areas) of the Nilgiris district
On 12 May 2020, the ashrama distributed ration kits to 425 families in and around Ooty (Indunagar, RC Colony, VC Colony, Nondimedu) of the Nilgiris district.
On 11 May 2020, the ashrama distributed ration kits to 360 families in and around the Math (Bishop’s down, Bapsa lane etc….) of the Nilgiris district.
On 9 May 2020, the ashrama distributed ration kits to 300 families in Athigaratti Village and 45 Migrant workers of the Nilgiris district.
On 5 May 2020, the ashrama distributed ration kits to 600 families in and
around the Ramakrishna Math (Ramakrishnapuram area) of the Nilgiris
district
On 2 May 2020, the ashrama distributed ration kits to 250 families in the Vazhaithottam Village of Masinagudi area of the Nilgiris district.
On 1 May 2020, the ashrama distributed ration kits to 59 Migrant Construction workers who have come from various places (Assam, UP, Jharkhand) and are working in Ooty.
On 30 April 2020, the ashrama distributed ration kits to 200 families in the
Pandalur Taluk of Nilgiris district .
The ashrama has distributed ration kits to 665 families in Kurumbapallam, Kurumbadi, Thakkal, Kovanpatti, Thottalingahalli, Semmanatham and Sogapatti vilages, till 17 April 2020.
Each ration kit contains Wheat flour 1 kg, Maida 1 kg, Toor dal 1 kg, sugar 1 kg, edible oil 1 ltr, soap 1 pc, and washing powder.
