Ramakrishna Math, Thanjavur has done flood relief in three districts, Thiruvarur, Nagapattinam, and Mayiladuthurai in three phases. The centre served daily wages farmers, fishermen and gypsies in these areas. On 11 Dec ’20 and 21 Dec ’20, rice and groceries were distributed to each family. The total families benefited is 5000.
The following items were distributed to each family: Rice 5 Kgs, Dhal 500 g, Gingelly oil 500 ml, Turmeric powder 100 g, Chilli powder 100 g, Tamarind 200 g, Salt 1kg, Sugar 500 g, match boxes, Bathing Soap, Washing soap, Candle, Biscuit Packet, Milk Powder.
