National Youth Day Celebrations: Rajkot


Shri Ramakrishna Ashrama, Rajkot had organized a national webinar on the occasion of the National Youth Day Celebration on 12 January 2021 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi ji sent his Message which was read out during webinar. We also received a Video Clip from PMO, which was shown in the Webinar. The Video Messages from Hon’ble Cabinet Minister, Shri Pratap Sarangi ji and Rev. General Secretary Maharaj, Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission, Belur Math were also broadcast during the Webinar.

 

Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry Dr Kiran Bedi joined online and delivered a very inspiring speech. She also replied to a few questions. She advised the youth to read the books of Swami Vivekananda for achieving success in life and to get read of mental tension.

Five young achievers who were inspired by life and message of Swami Vivekananda addressed the National Webinar. They were Padmabhushan Shri Pullela Gopichand, former International badminton player and presently the Chief National Coach of Indian badminton team; Padmashree Dr Arunima Sinha, first female amputee to climb Mount Everest and recipient of Tenzing Norgay National Adventure Award; Shri Sharad Sagar, well-known Youth Icon and internationally awarded social entrepreneur and Founder of Dexterity Global; Shri Chidugulla Sheker, well-known Para-athlete champion and first triple amputee from India to scale Mount Elbrus, the highest peak in Russia; Ms Mansi Joshi, a well-known para-badminton athlete, who won Gold Medal in BWF Para-badminton World Championship. They shared their stories as to how they got inspired by the message of Swami Vivekananda.
