There has been a drastic increase in COVID cases in Uttarakhand. Dehradun, the capital city of Uttarakhand, has the highest number of cases compared to other cities of the State.
Ramakrishna Mission Dehradun has converted the Vivekananda Netralaya (Eye Hospital) into a Covid Care Centre on the request of the District Magistrate. We have been able to contribute 33 beds as per the COVID treatment protocol.
The Chief Medical Officer (CMO) has provided the hospital with oxygen cylinders and it has also made available a couple of doctors trained to provide Covid treatment.
Apart from the above, Ashrama’s Dispensary has been authorised to provide vaccine for the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic since 17 March 2021.
