Ramakrishna Math, Madurai distributed lunch food packets in various parts of Madurai city areas like three Main bus stands, Railway Station, Govt. General Hospital, Temple areas, Riksha stands etc as a part of the Covid Relief Services. The Ashrama has distributed 2000 food packets through a registered Volunteer team from 15 May 2021 through 13 June 2021. In total, Madurai Math served 59,200 plates/packets of food.
The Ashrama started the distribution of ration (grocery) kits on 22 May 2021. As of 28 June 2021, they have distributed 2,300Â ration kits in total to the poor.
Each ration kit contains the following items: Toor dal 2 kgs, Black gram 1 kg, Mung dal 1 kg, atta 2 kg, Sooji 2 kgs, Channa 1 kg, Turmeric powder 200 gm, Edible oil 1 ltr, Salt 1 kg, Biscuit 1 pkt. Photos
