Flood Relief Services: Swami Vivekananda’s Ancestral House, Kolkata, Sep 2021

 


Ramakrishna Mission Swami Vivekananda’s Ancestral House, Kolkata, is continuing the flood relief in Paschim Medinipur district.

On 26 and 27 September 2021, the centre is distributing cooked food to 2300 people daily in the villages under Jalchak gram panchayat of Pingla Block in Paschim Medinipur, and near the embankments of Chandia river. Further reports awaited.


Ramakrishna Mission Swami Vivekananda’s Ancestral House distributed dry food and cooked food among the poor and needy people of Naipur, Naipur (South), Belda (Purba), Padima, chakgopal, Sanya, Belda (Uttar), Madhupur, Mirzapur, Biswanathpur villages of Pataspur 1 Block of Purba Medinipur District and Raghunathpur and   Sasinda villages of Naraiangarh Block of Paschim Medinipur District from 19 September to 24 September 2021.

The centre distributed Chira, Sugar, Biscuits and soap to the flood-affected people of the above-mentioned villages on 19 September. Dry materials consisted of Chira1040 Kg, Biscuits 65 Cartoons (1040 pkts), sugar 700 Kg.

31980 plates cooked food were served among 1078 families from 20 – 24 September 21. Cooked food materials consisted of Rice 2800 Kg, Dal 1405 Kg, Oil 285 ltr. Soyabean 266 Kg, Potato 1600 Kg. The total number of recipients was 5330.
