Five Vedanta centres located in Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne and Perth in Australia were officially recognized as sub-centres or chapters of Vedanta Centre of Sydney, Australia, under whose guidance they have been functioning for some years.

Ramakrishna Mission:

  1. Bangladesh: Mymensingh centre started an orphanage named Vivekananda Anath Ashrama at Durgapur in Greater Mymensingh district with ten tribal children.
  2. Fiji: The centre relocated Sarada Medical Centre from its old campus in Nadi town to its Malolo campus and started a new mobile medical unit for health education and treatment.
  3. South Africa: Phoenix centre started a values-based educational programme for children.
  4. Sri Lanka:

(a) Colombo centre renovated the shrine in Sri Ramakrishna Temple.

(b) Batticaloa sub-centre of Colombo centre consecrated the renovated prayer hall and inaugurated a coaching centre.

Ramakrishna Math:

  1. Ireland: Dublin centre inaugurated Vivekananda Hall.
  2. Netherlands: The centre moved to the new premises in Drenthe.
  3. USA: Portland centre acquired a 169-acre plot of land adjacent to its retreat centre in Scappoose.
