As a part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, Ramakrishna Math, Thanjavur, conducted a series of online programmes on the lives and inspirational messages of some of the unsung heroes of India’s freedom movement. Eminent scholar Dr. Sudha Seshayyan, Vice Chancellor of The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, Chennai has rendered talks in English for over 20 hours on 60 unsung heroes nationwide.
Getting the appreciative response from the participants, a well-known autonomous educational institution Sastra University came forward to utilise this valuable knowledge. On August 15, they launched a free online certificate course “Unsung Heores of Indian Freedom Movement” based on the talks of Dr. Seshayyan, for the propagation to a larger gathering.
