Ramakrishna Math, Bagda, conducted a Youth Convention on 11 August 2022 as a part of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, celebrating 75 years of the Independence of India. The 130 students and teachers from various schools of nearby villages participated in this programme.
The registration of participants started at 8.30 am and everybody was provided with 75th Independence commemorative T-shirts, books on Vivekananda literature and snacks packets for breakfast.
The programme started with Shanti Mantra followed by candle lighting with Vedic Chanting and then Swadesh Mantra was recited by the students.
“Swami Vivekanada’s Idea of New India” was the topic for discussion by the keynote speaker while short speeches were delivered by the invited guests and students on different aspects of independence. The cultural performances (patriotic songs, instrumental music, dance, stick dance etc.) and yoga presented by the students in the rest part of the programme enchanted everybody.
Winners Trophy and Certificates were handed over to first, second & third position holders in different cultural competitions held on 05 August 2022.
Lunch was served to all 130 teachers, students, and guests after the programme.
