Ramakrishna Mission, Darjeeling organised various events in connection with Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav from 12 January 2022 to 15th August, 2022.
Event 1 :
‘National Youth Day’ on 12th of January was celebrated with proper sanctity and serenity here at our Ashrama. A ‘drawing competition’ was arranged in this connection, where 55 children participated. Around 100 persons were served with lunch prasada.
Event 2 :
Republic Day on 26th of January was observed with proper sanctity and serenity here at our Ashrama. The programme started with Flag Hoisting at 10 a.m. followed by a few patriotic songs thereafter by our students. Around 100 persons were served with lunch prasada.
Event 3 :
An Essay Writing Competition and a Drawing Competition were organised on 31st July, 2022. 50 students participated in both of the competitions.
Event 4 :
A Cultural Competition and a Quiz Competition were also held on 7th August, 2022. 50 students took part in both of the competitions.
Event 5 :
A drawing competition was also held on 15th August in Sahudangi Ashram where nearly 150 students took part.
Event 6 :
Independence Day on 15th of August was observed with proper sanctity and serenity here at our Ashrama. The programme started with Flag Hoisting at 10 a.m. followed by a few patriotic songs thereafter by our students.
A procession was also arranged in this connection where 250 people took part. Each participant was served with a tiffin kit. Apart from this nearly 150 students, volunteers and well-wishers of our Ashrama were served with lunch prasada.
Event 7 :
On Independence Day, ration kits were distributed among 60 poor and needy families and another 60 pcs of blankets were also distributed among 60 families.
Event 8 :
Prize distribution ceremony was arranged on 15th August, where participants from various competitions namely Drawing Competition, Essay Writing Competition, Quiz Competition and Cultural Competitions were awarded prizes.
