Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Guwahati celebrated Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas at Gopal Krishna Tea Estate Adarsha H.S. School, Borgaon, Dist. Morigaon in the afternoon of 15th November 2022 with the active cooperation of Sri Ramakrishna Seva Samity, Borgaon. The programme started with the lighting of the lamp in front of the portrait of Veer Sahid Birsa Munda followed by Vedic Chanting by the students. The students performed Devotional, patriotic songs and Traditional Tribal Dances (Jhumur Nritya etc.).
Sri Gopal Purkayastha, Secretary, Ramakrishna Sevashrama, Borgaon delivered a welcome address and Swami Atmashuddhananda, Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Guwahati, Sri Bapuram Majhi, a Social Worker and Sri Nikhil Chandra Bhowmick spoke on the Life & his valuable contribution towards Tribal Welfare to protect Jal, Junghal and Jameen, started a movement to revert the Tribal mass converted to Christianity and also to end the British Raj from India. At the end of the programme vote of thanks was given by Sri Pashu Paharia. The programme was attended by 175 students and the local people of that area.
