The National Youth day was celebrated at Ramakrishna Mission, Narottam Nagar, on 12th January 2023 in front of Swamiji’s huge statue installed a few months back by the side of Vivekananda Marg.
The programme began with guests, monks, and teachers offering flowers to Swamiji while students chanted Vedic hymns. Speaking on the significance of the day Ms. Vishakha Yadav, IAS, ADC, Deomali, Tirap, and Dr. Madhab Ray, Boston called upon the youth to imbibe the spirit of Swamiji. The institution’s students then delivered brief speeches, recited poem composed by Swamiji. Swami Achyuteshananda spoke about modelling oneself after Swami Vivekananda’s ideology. The programme ended with a closing song sung by Higher Secondary students.
