Ramakrishna Mission:
The following achievements of our students, staff, and institutions of the Ramakrishna Mission in the year under review are worth mentioning:
1. Gandhi Smarak Sangrahalaya, Barrackpore, presented the Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Award to the Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission in recognition of their service activitie
2. Four of our degree colleges secured distinguished positions in the India Rankings announced by the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF), Ministry of Education, Government of India: Vivekananda Centenary College (Rahara) – 8th rank, Vidyamandira (Saradapitha) – 15th rank, Residential College (Narendrapur) – 19th rank, Arts & Science College (Coimbatore Mission) – 71st rank.
3. Aalo:
a. The under-17 football team won the state-level Subroto Cup Football Championship.
b. Two students received the Best NCC Cadet state awards.
4. Chennai Mission Ashrama:
a. Eight class-9 students won the Rajyapuraskar, a Governor award for Scouts.
b. A class-7 student was awarded the gold medal in the Youth Silambam Tamil Nadu State Championship.
c. A class-9 student won the first prize in State Level Boxing Competition.
d. A class-8 student was awarded a gold medal, a silver medal and a bronze medal in the 2nd State Level Silambam Championship conducted by Vathiyar M. Sekar Silambam Academy.
e. A class-12 student won the 20th Junior State Throwball Championship conducted by Tamil Nadu Throwball Association for Men and Women.
f. The school was certified as Tobacco Free Educational Institution by the Directorate of Public Health and Preventive Medicine, Government of Tamil Nadu.
5. Chennai Students’ Home:
a. Twelve students of the polytechnic college achieved 1st position in the State Level Kho-Kho tournament organised by the Inter Polytechnic Athletic Association.
b. Twelve students of the polytechnic college won 10 gold, 3 silver, and 2 bronze medals at the Chennai Division Level Athletic Meet organised by the Inter Polytechnic Athletic Association.
6. The cricket team of Chennai Vidyapith emerged as winners in a cricket tournament conducted by Tamil Nadu Cricket Association.
7. Coimbatore Mission:
a. A faculty member of College of Arts & Science received the Best Researcher Award from International Research Awards Winner, registered under the Ministry of Corporate affairs, Govt. of India.
b. A faculty member of College of Arts & Science received the Young Researchers’ Award from the Institute of Scholars, under the Ministry of MSME & Corporate affairs, Govt. of India.
c. A faculty member of College of Arts & Science received the Dedicated Teaching Professional National Award from Kamarajar Institute of Education and Research, Theni, Tamil Nadu.
d. A faculty member of College of Arts & Science received the Best Scholar Award from Inspira Research Association, Jaipur.
e. A student of the College of Arts and Science secured a gold medal in the Silambam double-sword event in an international championship held in Port Blair.
f. A visually impaired class-7 student of Coimbatore Vidyalaya won the first place in a swimming competition conducted by Tamil Nadu Paralympic Sports Association.
g. National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) awarded A+ grade to the College of Arts and Science and the Maruti College of Physical Education for five years.
8. Dehradun Misson: Vivekananda Netralaya (eye hospital) received NABH certification for 2 years under the Entry Level – Small Healthcare Organisation programme.
9. Deoghar: A class-10 student and two class-12 students were facilitated by the Chief Minister of Jharkhand for securing top position in class-10 and class-12 CBSE board examinations.
10. Six students of Hatamuniguda school secured gold medals in an art competition on the theme Atmanirbhar Bharat (self-reliant India) conducted by National Education and Human Resource Development Organization, Mumbai.
11. A class-3 student of Imphal school won a gold medal in the National Archery Championship held at Vijayawada.
12. Malda Mission:
a. A class-10 student of the school secured the first position at the state level in the Talent Search Test on Geography conducted by Bangiyo Bhugol Mancha, Kolkata.
b. The higher secondary school was awarded the Swachh Vidyalaya Puraskar (District Level Award) from the Department of School Education & Literacy, Ministry of Education, Government of India.
13. Narainpur:
a. The football team won the Chattisgarh Champion title in the 1st Men’s Football League conducted by Chattisgarh Football Academy.
b. The under-14 & under-17 football teams of Narainpur school won the state level Subroto Cup Football Tournament.
c. A class-10 student and a class-12 student secured 1st ranks in the class 10 & 12 board exams in ST Category (Abujhmarhia) and received cash awards from the Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh.
14. Narendrapur:
a. Fifteen students from Blind Boys’ Academy took part in the National Paralympic Swimming Championship held at Udaipur, Rajasthan, and won 21 gold, 13 silver and 3 bronze medals in the championship.
b. Blind Boys’ Academy bagged the State Award for Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities for its Braille Press.
c. The Narendrapur off-campus centre of RKMVERI (deemed university) was adjudged the ‘Best Centre of All India Network Programme on Organic Farming’ by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) – Indian Institute of Farming Systems Research, Modipuram, Meerut.
d. Three faculty members of Residential College were awarded the Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan Teaching Excellence Award by International Benevolent Research Foundation (IBRF).
15. Rahara:
a. A student of Vivekananda Centenary College received Silver Honor from International Youth Math Challenge.
b. A student of Vivekananda Centenary College secured the 1st prize in Computer Coding Competition organized by RKMVERI.
c. NAAC accredited Vivekananda Centenary College with A++ grade.
d. Vivekananda Centenary College was awarded Shiksha Shreshtha Samman by ABP Ananda, a Bengali TV news channel.
16. RKMVERI, Belur:
a. Six students of Sanskrit department won five medals – one gold, one silver and three bronze – and a special prize in the national level Sanskrit literary competitions conducted by Central Sanskrit University, New Delhi.
b. A student of Sanskrit department secured the 1st position in Young Scholars Seminar Competition organized by International School for Sree Sankaracharya Studies.
17. Saradapitha, Belur: A research scholar at Vidyamandira college received the S S Bhatnagar Young Scientist Award from the Indian Chemical Society at the Young Scientist Conclave.
18. Seva Pratishthan, Kolkata:
a. A student of M.S. (Orthopaedics) secured the 1st rank in the state in the final examinations conducted by West Bengal University of Health Sciences (WBUHS).
b. A student of M.S. (Paediatrics) secured the 2nd rank in the state in the final examinations conducted by WBUHS.
c. A student of M.S. (General Medicine) secured 5th rank in the state in the final examinations conducted by WBUHS.
d. A student of P.T. (Bachelor of Physiotherapy) stood 1st in the state in the final examinations conducted by WBUHS.
19. The lower primary section of Thrissur school won the 1st place in the Thrissur West Sub-district sports competition.
20. Viveknagar, Agartala:
a. Students of the Vidyalaya won 5 gold, 11 silver and 5 bronze medals in the International English Olympiad; 5 gold, 2 silver and 10 bronze medals in the International Mathematics Olympiad; 5 gold, 1 silver and 14 bronze medals in the International Science Olympiad; and 1 gold and 2 silver medals in the International Cyber Olympiad of the International Olympiad Foundation.
b. Two class-8 students won the 1st position at the state level in the 108th National Science Congress and 30th National Children’s Science Congress organized by the Dept. of Science and Technology, Govt. of India.
c. Three class-8 students secured top 3 positions in the Junior Mathematical Olympiad organised by the Tripura Mathematical Society.
d. Class-8 students won the 1st, 2nd and the 4th ranks in the Chemical Aptitude Test organized by Tripura Chemical Society.
e. A student bagged the 1st rank in Northeast Region in the CBSE class-10 board exam.
f. Rotary Club presented the Vocational Excellence Award to the ITI.
Ramakrishna Math:
The following achievements of our students, staff, and institutions of the Ramakrishna Math in the year under review are worth mentioning:
1. Baghbazar Math was awarded the Viswanayak Vivekananda Award by the Indian Epic Culture Centre, Kolkata.
2. Chennai Math: The media team of Chennai Math won a prize for the creation of ‘Narendra Smart Toy’ in Toycathon, a competition to encourage the development of new toys and games, held at Noida Institute of Engineering &Technology.
3. Kalady:
a. A student won the gold medal in an obstacle race at the national level NCC competitions held in Delhi.
b. Three class-11 students won 1 gold and 2 bronze medals in the judo state level competition
c. A teacher of the High School was conferred the Best Teacher Award by the Rotary Club, Angamaly.
d. The High School won the MLA award for Best Performance in SSLC Examination.
4. A student of Mekhliganj school secured gold medal in the State Wushu Championship in Sub junior Changquan event.
5. Mysuru:
a. The Ashrama was awarded the Amrita Mahotsava State Award in recognition of its service activitie
