On 9 June 2022, an agriculture workshop was arranged under the ongoing project of Petroleum Conservation Research Association, Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Government of India, at Ramakrishna Mission Ashram, Divyan Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Morabadi, Ranchi.
Swami Bhaveshananda, Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission, Morabadi, Ranchi, presented his ideas for unnecessary expenditure of petroleum products, water conservation and making plastic free zones. Associate Dean (Agriculture Engineering) of Birsa Agricultural University, Dr. D.K. Rusia gave important technical suggestions on reducing diesel consumption in tractors, power tillers, pumpsets and other diesel powered equipment used in agriculture. He informed about saving 10% to 20% fuel by proper maintenance and operation of tractor.
In the welcome address, P. Sharma apprised everyone about the harm caused by excessive fuel consumption for petroleum conservation as well as water conservation and protecting the environment. About 35 students of the university were present in the program.
