125th Anniversary of Ramakrishna Mission

Swami Vivekananda founded the Ramakrishna Mission on 1 May 1897 in a meeting of monastic and householder devotees of Bhagavan Sri Ramakrishna Deva, held at the sacred house of Balaram Bose, presently Ramakrishna Math (Balaram Mandir), in Kolkata. True to the motto he set before the organization, “atmano mokshartham jagaddhitaya cha” (for one’s own liberation and for the welfare of the world), the Ramakrishna Mission is today well known all over India and abroad for the lofty moral and spiritual ideals it upholds and for its service to humanity – service rendered in a spirit of worship to the Lord present in all beings. The Ramakrishna Mission completed 125 years of its glorious journey last year (2022). To celebrate this significant milestone, a year-long series of programmes and service activities were launched last year at Belur Math.

The Concluding Function of  the 125th Anniversary of the Ramakrishna Mission, was held at Ramakrishna Math (Balaram Mandir), Kolkata, on 01 May 2023,
