The Annual Celebration of Bhagawan Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa Deva was celebrated in a grand manner and with great enthusiasm at Ramakrishna Mission, Sahudangi, Siliguri, Dt. Jalpaiguri on 2nd April 2023. The ‘Dharma Sabha’ which was convened on the occasion was presided over by Swami Jnanalokanandaji Maharaj, Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission Swami Vivekananda’s Ancestral House and Cultural Centre, Kolkata. Swami Tyagarupanandaji Maharaj, Adhyaksha, Ramakrishna Math, Malda, was one of the speakers in the Dharma Sabha. Monks from nearby centres attended the function.
This was the first time that the Annual Celebration of Sahudangi Ashrama was held under the banner of Ramakrishna Mission. More than 55,000 people from Jalpaiguri, Darjeeling, Coochbehar and other parts of north Bengal attended the function. Cooked food (khichuri) prepared from about 30 quintals of rice, dal and vegetables was distributed on the occasion. Various cultural programs by monks as well as local artists were enjoyed by the devotees throughout the day.
