To spread the inspiring message of Swami Vivekananda and give a brief introduction of Ramakrishna Mission to the students of the schools and colleges in the Jhargram district, Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Jhargram, conducted a special program “Arise, Awake” in 17 schools and in Jhargram Medical College.
Total 4320 students (Boys-1459; Girls-2798) and 227 teachers attended the program during the period from 1 August to 15 October 2023. Swami Brahmeshwarananda conducted the program in each institution.
All the students attending the program were presented with a book of Swamiji. A 2 ft height Swamiji’s laminated photo was presented to each institution along with a few books for the library. The Headmaster / Principal was given a special memento made for this occasion.
An edited version of the documentary on the history of the Ramakrishna Mission was screened for the students.
