Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav : Bagda, 15 August 2022


The concluding part of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav‘ was celebrated on 15th August 2022 in a grand manner by Ramakrishna Math, Bagda. The observance of the 75th Anniversary of Independence started at 9.30 am with hoisting of National Flag, followed by National Anthem and a short speech in presence of the children of Gadadhar Sishu Vikash Kendra under Gadadhar Abhyudaya Prakalpa, teachers, volunteers and others. At the end of the programme snacks and sweets were distributed among 75 participants.

The later part of the celebration started at 3.30 pm with a colourful long procession, with banners and National Flag moved around the surrounding areas of the Ashrama. 110 people including students, youth, teachers, volunteers, the GAP children and others participated in this procession.

After completion of the procession a short programme was conducted at the Math premises. The programme started with Shanti Mantra followed by Swadesh Mantra recited by the children of the GAP unit. Later they took part in patriotic song, recitation and dance. Sri Ashok Kumar Mahato, Headmaster, Goalagara Path Mandir presided over the function and delivered his short speech. The students of different schools also delivered short speeches on Indian Independence. The cultural performances of patriotic songs and dance presented by the school students made the programme attractive.

As a part of welfare activities tracksuits were distributed among 50 children of Gadadhar Sishu Vikash Kendra, stipend has been provided to four needy girl students and grocery items kit was provided to 10 distressed women.

The Swami Niyatatmananda, Adhyaksha of the Ashrama, conveyed his thanks to everyone for making the celebration programme of 75th anniversary of Indian Independence a grand success and declared the ending of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’. Packets of snacks, sweets and soft drink were given to all at the end.
