Ramakrishna Math Baghbazar started Amphan cyclone relief services to aid families affected by the Super Cyclonic Storm Amphan which wreaked havoc on 20 May 2020.
30 & 31 May 2020: The centre has distributed Rice- 5000 kg, Dal- 1000 Kg, Potato– 5000 Kg. among the affected families in the following villages:
27 May 2020: The centre has distributed (1) Tarpaulin-1075 pcs.,(2) Puffed Rice- 537.5 Kg.,(3) Chira– 537.5 Kg. (4) Biscuits- 1075 Pkts., (5) Powder Milk (200 gram)- 1075 Pkts.,(6) Juggery– 430 Kg.,(7) Masks- 100 Pcs. among the affected families in the following villages: Narayanpur, Ganesh Nagar, Nandabhanga, Iswaripur in Namkhana block, in Kakdwip subdivision of South 24 Parganas.
26 May 2020: The centre distributed Tarpaulin- 1425, Puffed Rice- 715 Kg., Chira – 715 Kg. Biscuits- 1425 Pkts., Powder Milk (200 grm) – 1425 Pkts. jaggery – 590 Kg Masks- 400 Pcs. to the affected families, residing at Debnibas, Shibpur, DK Chandranagar, Shibarampur, Patiburia, Durgapur, Radhanagar, Dwariknagar villages, in and around South 24 Parganas (Namkhana Block), Sundarban. Total Beneficiaries: -1425 Families.
The centre distributed 250 Tarpaulin to the affected families residing in slums at 20 Prankrishna Mukherjee Road, Kolkata.
