Ramakrishna Mission, Port Blair, conducted a Bhakta Sammelan (Devotees’ Convention) in the Ashrama premises on 24 September 2023, to commemorate the 125 years of the foundation of the Ramakrishna Mission.
The programme started with vedic chanting by the monks and brahmacharins, followed by the opening song and Welcome Address by Swami Prarthanananda, Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission, Port Blair.
Swami Sushantananda read from Sri Ramakrishna Vachanamrita.
Swami Bodhasarananda, Assistant General Secretary, Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission, was the main speaker. He spoke on “Antaryami Sri Ramakrishna” and also on the 125th Years of Ramakrishna Mission.
After the speech, there was a Question-Answer session.
Sri R. S. Pandy, Assistant Secretary of the Managing Committee of the ashrama gave the Vote of Thanks. It was followed by the closing song.
More than 110 devotees participated in that Bhakta Sammelan from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm. Devotees were given snacks and noon prasad at the Ashrama.
