Ramakrishna Mission, Coimbatore, hosted a Swami Vivekananda Chicago Address Recitation Competition on September 11, 2024. The event featured oratorical competitions based on selected passages from Swami Vivekananda’s works in both English and Tamil, divided into school, post-matric, and college levels. A total of 491 students participated, with 7 emerging as winners.
Additionally, an online oratorical competition attracted 145 participants, resulting in 3 winners. An online quiz competition on “Life and Message of Swami Vivekananda” was open to the public and saw 463 participants, with 9 being selected as winners.
All winners received mementos, books, and cash prizes. To further commemorate the occasion, a Yoga World Record Suryanamaskar Yogathon was conducted, involving 1463 students who performed 108 rounds of Surya Namaskar.
