On September 11, the Ramakrishna Mission, Singapore commemorated the 131st anniversary of Swami Vivekananda’s historic Chicago Address in conjunction with the Vivekananda Seva Sangh, Singapore.
The event featured a keynote address by Swami Bodhasarananda ji, Assistant General Secretary, Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission, Belur Math, on the topic “Impact of Swami Vivekananda’s Chicago Lectures on the West.” Swami Samachittananda ji, President of Ramakrishna Mission, Singapore, delivered the opening remarks and later discussed the significance of Swamiji’s Chicago address in contemporary times.
The program began with Vedic chanting by Swami Sampujyananda and concluded with closing songs by the Swamis. Over 100 devotees attended the event, which included the distribution of lunch prasad to all participants.
