The distribution of plant saplings in memory of Rev. Swami Sureshanandaji concluded on 30 November 2019. Ashrama had decided to distribute 25,000 plant saplings to the public, since the programme received an unprecedented response, we continued its project and distributed 41,209 plant saplings to 6785 people from September 27 to the end of November 2020. Along with plants we also freely distributed 6000 copies of the Viveka Prabha the monthly Kannada magazine and 5000 “Sphoorti”, book for an open written family quiz competition, containing the life and teachings of Divine Trio to encourage people to read and understand the life and teachings of our Holy Trio. The distribution took place at four main locations: Sri Ramakrishna Ashrama, Sri Ramakrishna Vidyashala, Viveka Smaraka in the city, and Ramakrishna Vidyakendra, Mysuru.
Concluding Celebrations of Green Mysuru was held on February 28, 2021, in the Ashrama auditorium. Sri Rahu Agarwal, DRM, South Western Railways, Mysuru Division, Mysuru was the Chief Guest. Sri Sashi Kumar, Additional Commissioner, Mysuru City Corporation, Mysuru was the Guest of Honour. Swami Muktidanandaji Chaired the session.
First, Second, Third and 27 consolation prizes were distributed to the prize winners. A Memento and book on Sri Sarada Devi and Hindu Dharma were given to 100 volunteers who served for 2 months during plants distribution. 25 garden workers were also felicitated on this occasion.
