Revered Swami Suhitanandaji Maharaj, Vice-President of Ramakrishna Math & Ramakrishna Mission, Belur Math, visited Ramakrishna Mission Kalyani from June 25 to July 2, 2025, on the auspicious occasion of the consecration of the renovated Sri Sri Ramakrishna Universal Prayer Hall.
On June 25, Revered Maharaj inaugurated the newly extended 2nd floor of the Brahmananda Sadhu Niwas. On June 26, he visited the Sri Sri Hanseswari Kali Temple at Bansberia, Hooghly, and offered his homage.
The main consecration ceremony was held on 27 June 2025, coinciding with Sri Sri Jagannath Deva’s Rath Yatra. Special puja was performed to Sri Ramakrishna, Holy Mother Sri Sarada Devi, and Swami Vivekananda, with the changing of photo frames and Singhasanas of Holy Mother and Swamiji forming a central part of the event. Swami Tattavidanandaji Maharaj, Assistant General Secretary of Belur Math, performed the day-long puja and homa. A Dharma Sabha was held simultaneously at the Swami Vivekananda Auditorium and was presided over by Revered Suhitanandaji Maharaj. Sk. Maqbul Islam spoke on the significance of Ratha Yatra. Swami Prabhananda Scholarships were distributed to 15 underprivileged students, and saris were given to 50 needy mothers. The program concluded with the benedictory address by Revered Maharaj. Sadhu Pujan and Narayan Seva followed, with around 3000 devotees partaking of the noon prasad.
