COVID-19 Pandemic Awareness Programme By Ramakrishna Mission, Mangaluru, March 2020

On the request of Mangalore city police commissioner and also Mangalore city corporation, Ramakrishna Mission, Mangaluru has joined hands with the authorities in sensitizing the people against coming out of their houses, creating awareness in them and also making efforts to dispel their fears owing to the lockdown imposed on the nation in the wake of COVID-19 pandemic.

About 200 volunteers of the Ashrama are working hand-in-hand with the police & authorities and are visiting various areas in the city and are convincing the people to stay in their homes for their own safety and are sensitizing them about hand-washing etc. They are marking safe distance limits in front of different shops to help people maintain a safe distance from each other while standing in queue for purchases. They are also dissuading public and motorists from moving on roads unnecessarily. This will greatly help in the fight against COVID-19. Our volunteers are also using masks, hand sanitizes & following social distancing while heeding to the call of the hour.
