Ramakrishna Mission New Delhi: COVID-19 Pandemic Relief Services


Ramakrishna Mission, New Delhi, is continuing the relief services.

From 4 June onwards, the centre is distributing GoMo packets (protein chips) and ORS packets to migrant labourers at Nizamuddin Railway Station, Old Delhi Railway Station and Anand Vihar Railway Station. Total figure of migrant labourers served till date is 28,776.


From 26 March 2020 to  31 May 2020, 86,774 poor and needy people have been served cooked food. The centre also distributed 30,000 packets of GoMo (protein chips).  Apart from this, so far the centre has served 17,944 migrant labourers from 28 May to 31 May 2020 in the New Delhi, Anand Vihar and Hazrat Nizamuddin Railway Stations. The labourers were served GoMo packets, ORS sachets (Oral Rehydration Salts) and mineral water.

31 May 2020: The centre served cooked food – Chholey Chawal and protein snack packets to 403 people.  In addition, 5376 migrant labourers were served GoMo packets (protein chips), ORS packets and mineral water both at Anand Vihar and New Delhi Railway stations. The total number of migrant labourers served till date is 17,944.

30 May 2020: The centre served cooked food – Chholey Chawal and protein snack packets to 376 people.  In addition, 7200 migrant labourers were served GoMo packets (protein chips), ORS packets and mineral water both at Anand Vihar and New Delhi Railway stations. The total number of migrant labourers served till date is 12,568.

29 May 2020: The centre served cooked food – Chholey Chawal and protein snack packets to 387 people.  In addition, 3,868 migrant labourers were served GoMo packets (protein chips), ORS packets and mineral water both at Anand Vihar and New Delhi Railway stations. The total number of migrant labourers served till date is 5,368.

On 2 April 2020, the ashrama has distributed cooked food to 1494 people.



On 1 April 2020 the ashrama has distributed rice and rajma to 1305 poor and needy.

In addition 1000 laddus were also distributed to the poor, which was sent by the Ramakrishna Sarada Mission, Delhi.



Ramakrishna Mission, New Delhi, is continuing the relief services. On 31 March the ashrama had distributed rice and chana dal to about 1440 poor and needy.



Ramakrishna Mission, New Delhi, started relief services in the wake of lockdown owing to COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic. The Ashrama started the relief operations on the 26 of this month after conducting a survey in a slum nearby the Ashrama. On the first day, 472 poor and needy were served khichuri. The demand has been slowly increasing. On 30 March afternoon, at the request of the State Government, the Ashrama had to conduct the relief services at two other locations in Delhi apart from the Ashrama precincts.

For the first four days the Ashrama distributed kichuri. But, upon finding that people prefer rice, dal, etc. they started distributing rice and rajma to 1,032 poor and needy.
