Continuing its Covid-19 relief works, the Batticaloa sub-centre of Colombo Ashrama, distributed groceries to 150 poor families in mountainous Kalagolla estate in the far-off Kandy district. In total 750 kg Rice, 600 kg Flour, 150 kg Sugar, 150 kg Pulses, 30 kg Nutrient powder, and 15 kg Soya chunks were distributed on 3rd and 10th October 2021.
On the 26 October 2021, the ashrama provided 4 ceiling fans to a rural backward school at Batticaloa to facilitate good air circulation for the students as per Government pandemic regularity measures.
