Advaita Ashrama, Kolkata: COVID-19 Pandemic Relief Services


Advaita Ashrama, Kolkata, is continuing the COVID-19 pandemic relief services.

Advaita Ashrama (Kolkata) conducted a sixth round of relief work from July 07 to July 09, 2020, providing rations to 150 families, all poor and daily wage earners, affected by the Covid-19 lockdown.

In the six rounds, Advaita Ashrama, Kolkata distributed 3762 kg of rice, 3700 kg of wheat flour, 750 kg of dal, 370 kg of mustard oil, 315 kg of salt and 740 bars of soap among 752 families of Kolkata district from 1 April to 09 July 2020.

Advaita Ashrama (Kolkata) conducted the fifth round of relief work from May 20 to May 28, 2020, providing rations to 150 families, all poor and daily wage earners, affected by the Covid-19 lockdown.

Advaita Ashrama (Kolkata) conducted the fourth round of relief work from May 11 to May 13, 2020, providing rations to 130 families, all poor daily wage earners, affected by the Covid-19 lockdown. View Album in Google Photos

In the four rounds so far, Advaita Ashrama distributed 2237 kg of rice, 2200 kg of wheat flour, 450 kg of dal, 220 kg of mustard oil, 165 kg of salt and 440 bars of soap among 447 families of Kolkata district from 1 April to 13 May 2020.  

The ashrama conducted the third round of relief services from April 20 to April 27, 2020, providing rations to 100 families, all poor daily wage earners, affected by the Covid-19 lockdown. View Album in Google Photos

In the three rounds so far, Advaita Ashrama distributed 1562 kg of rice, 1550 kg of wheat flour, 320 kg of dal, 155 kg of mustard oil, 100 kg of salt and 310 bars of soap among 313 families of Kolkata district from 1 April to 27 April 2020.


In the wake of the national lockdown due to COVID-19 pandemic, Advaita Ashrama, Kolkata, distributed 110 packets of essential commodities to 110 poor families in the locality. In all 550 kg of wheat, 550 kg of rice, 110 kg of dal, 55 kg of mustard oil, and soaps were given away to these families.
