Ramakrishna Mission Kanpur, as on 27 May 2020, distributed dry ration (consisting of 1953 kg rice, 1750 kg wheat flour, 646 kg pulse, 205 litre edible oil, 231 litre mustard oil, 441 kg sugar, 441 kg salt, 222 kg soyabean chunks, 112 kg turmeric powder, 360 pcs bathing soap, 110 bottles milk of 200 ml, 571 packets biscuit and 130 pieces of face mask to 436 families in adjoining areas near the Kanpur Ashrama (this figure will be updated after receiving details of the beneficiaries).
25 May 2020: The ashrama, with the assistance of the local police station, distributed dry ration (consisting 124 kg rice, 40 kg wheat flour, 10 kg sugar, 5.5 kg soyabean chunks, 30 kg pulse, 10 kg salt and 3.75 kg turmeric powder, 23 pieces of bathing soap) among the deserving poor families living in slum near the JK Temple area in Kanpur (the names and numbers of beneficiaries is being finalized)
23 May 2020: The ashrama distributed dry ration (consisting of 380 kg rice, 200 kg wheat flour, 95 kg pulse,70 litre mustard oil, 75 kg sugar, 75 kg salt, 39 kg soyabean chunks, 21 kg turmeric powder, 70 pcs bath soap and 60 pcs face mask) to 70 poor families, living in nearby colonies.
17 May 2020: The ashrama distributed dry ration (consisting of 340 kg rice, 320 kg wheat flour, 80 kg pulse, 80 litre mustard oil, 80 kg sugar, 80 kg salt, 40 kg soyabean chunks, 20 kg turmeric powder, 80 pcs bath soap and 70 pcs of face mask) to 80 poor families, living in nearby colonies.
19 April 2020: The ashrama distributed dry ration (consisting of 164 kg rice, 164 kg wheat flour, 41 kg pulse, 41 litre mustard oil, 41 kg sugar, 41 kg salt, 21 kg soyabean chunks, 10 kg turmeric powder, 41 pcs bathing soap) to 41 daily wages earners of belonging to cleanliness staffs’ families in Vidyut Prashikshan Kendra, Indian Railways, Kanpur.
20 April 2020: The ashrama distributed dry ration (consisting of 160 kg rice, 160 kg wheat flour, 40 kg pulse, 40 litre mustard oil, 40 kg sugar, 40 kg salt, 20 kg soyabean chunks, 10 kg turmeric powder, 40 pcs bathing soap) to 40 families in Chandra Nagar, Kanpur.
In the wake of lockdown owing to COVID-19 pandemic Ramakrishna Mission Kanpur started COVID-19 pandemic relief services. As on 20 April 2020, the centre has distributed dry ration (1233 kg rice, 1182 kg wheat flour, 471 kg pulse, 205 litre edible oil, 81 litre mustard oil, 286 kg sugar, 286 kg salt, 143 kg soyabean chunks, 71 kg turmeric powder, 187 pcs bathing soap, 100 bottles milk of 200 ml, 110 packets biscuit to 286 families in the areas adjoining Kanpur Ashrama.
