Our Ooty ashrama conducted the annual Cultural Competition on 19 August 2017. Around 30 schools from the Nilgiris District took part in the competitions. There were 11 events like Essay, Recitation, Elocution, debate, Quiz etc. A total of 532 students participated in these events. A total of 169 Prizes are awarded to wining students. Each prize consisted a certificate, a memento and books. Prize Distribution for the winners was held on 2nd September 2017 in a function held at Ashrama premises. Swami Garishtananda, Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya and Swami Sahanananda, Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya Coimbatore, were chief guests. The programme was well attended by students, teachers, parents and devotees.
On the same occasion the ashrama also distributed scholarships to 107 selected students from different educational institutions.
