Ramakrishna Mission, Villupuram, Tamilnadu

The recent cyclone, Fengal, caused severe damage in Puducherry, Villupuram district, and surrounding areas. Three lakes and a river dam surpassed their danger levels, flooding numerous villages and isolating them from road access. Additionally, electricity and internet services were significantly disrupted.

As part of the Primary Relief Service, cooked food was provided for 5100 people in 5 villages across Villupuram district and Puducherry from 2nd December to 5th December 2024 (for 4 days), using ingredients such as rice, dal, vegetables, and others.

For Secondary Relief Service, Family Kits containing bedsheets and groceries for a family’s 15-day supply were distributed to 225 families.

Grocery kits were also provided to 200 physically challenged individuals.
