Devotees Convention : Kalyani, February 2024

On February 4th, 2024, the day after Swamiji’s Tithi Puja, Ramakrishna Mission Kalyani hosted a spirited Devotee Convention. Esteemed monks, Swami Purnananda from Ramakrishna Math, Belur Math, and Swami Jitasangananda Maharaj from Ramakrishna Mission Institute of Culture, Gol Park, graced the occasion with their presence.

The convention began at 10:00 AM with the solemn chanting of Vedic mantras and stotras by Sanyasis and Brahmacharis, setting the tone for a day of contemplation and connection.

A period of prayer and meditation further deepened the spiritual atmosphere, allowing participants to centre themselves.

Swami Purnanandaji Maharaj enthralled the audience with his captivating lecture on “Bhagavat-Bhakta-Bhagavan – Tiney Ek, Ekey Tin” (Devotee, Devotion, and the Divine as One). An interactive question-answer session ensued, allowing delegates to engage with his insights and seek personal guidance.

Around 300 devotees participated in the convention, sharing a heartwarming communal lunch prasadam.

Swami Jitasanganandaji Maharaj captivated the gathering with his melodious bhajans, immersing them in devotional joy. He then delivered a thought-provoking lecture on the topic “Sri Ramakrishna Tatwer Byakta Roop Sreema Sarada,” exploring the divine essence embodied in Sri Ramakrishna and his consort, Maa Sarada Devi.

The convention concluded at 4:00 PM with a final song and a warm tea and snack break, offering a chance for fellowship and reflection.
