Distress Relief in Manipur : Imphal, January 2024


Ramakrishna Mission, Imphal, is continuing its relief services to the people of Manipur living in various relief camps since May 2023. 

The Imphal centre distributed the following items to 19 Relief camps and 4 other areas affected by the ongoing ethnic conflict, benefiting 2124 individuals from 931 families from 4 districts of Manipur — Bishnupur, Kakching, Imphal East & Imphal West: 

95 Blankets, 170 shawls,  1105 nos of Thermal Upper, 422 nos of Thermal Trousers, 661 pairs of winter socks, 16 pairs of footwears, 4320 packets of biscuits, 40 Kgs of Pulses, 20 Kgs Soyabean, 52 Kg Milk Powder, 10 Kgs Chira, 10 Kg Suji, 20 Packets Horlicks (400gms), 15 Kgs Infant Milk, 114 Notebooks (60 Pages), 100 nos Bathing Soap (55 gms), 60 nos Toothpaste (48 gms), 24 nos Toothbrush, 120 packets Surf (78 gms), 60 nos Hair Oil (30 ml), 11 nos Rechargeable Bulbs & other miscellaneous items. 

Moreover, the Imphal centre also provided 350 Kgs of Potato Sprouts, 120 Kgs Green Peas Seeds, 35 Kgs Rajma Seeds and 20 Kgs Dhaniya Seeds, as collective livelihood support for 250 economically distressed farmers at Sugnu, in Kakching district, which has been one of most affected area during this ongoing crisis.
