Also, apart from other necessities, The Imphal centre provided customised T-Shirts having Swamiji’s selected quotes printed on the back to 110 students staying in a special relief camp, set up exclusively for displaced students.Â
On earnest request from the students of another camp, the Imphal centre provided 5 bicycles to them, as they were facing lots of inconvenience in going to the school regularly. The centre also took the GAP Ningthoukhong beneficiaries to a relief camp for a special sports meet with the students in the relief camp. This was much appreciated by the camp organisers & those taking shelter in the camp.
The Imphal centre is also providing Values Education books and Children books on Thakur, Maa and Swamiji for the use of students in selected camps. As the mobile internet remains suspended in Manipur, this is providing ample time and opportunity for these children to form reading habits and inculcate noble values and know about the inspiring lives of the Holy Trio.
There has been an early onset of winter in Manipur this year with sudden drop in night temperature since mid October. Thus, the Imphal centre speeds up winter relief efforts to reach the most vulnerable staying in far off camps. The Imphal centre provided 5831 blankets to more than 60 relief camps. Efforts are being made to reach out to almost all the camps sheltering the internally displaced people.Â
