Distress Relief Services: Vadodara, June 2025

Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Memorial, Vadodara, Gujarat

During the month of June 2025, Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Memorial, Vadodara, organized multiple distress relief efforts to support economically disadvantaged and visually impaired families across Gujarat.

On 15 June 2025, Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Memorial, Vadodara, distributed free ration kits to 25 blind families, out of which 20 were at the Ashrama premises and 5 at Anand, in Kheda District. Each kit contained wheat flour (10 kg), rice (3 kg), pulses (1.5 kg), cooking oil (1 kg), salt (1 kg), sugar (1 kg), tea powder (250 g), turmeric powder (100 g), and chili powder (100 g). In total, 250 kg of wheat flour, 75 kg of rice, 37.5 kg of pulses, 25 kg of cooking oil, 25 kg each of salt and sugar, 6.25 kg of tea powder, and 2.5 kg each of turmeric and chili powder were distributed.

Meanwhile, Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Memorial, Vadodara, also undertook three separate relief initiatives. On 1 June 2025, the Math distributed free ration kits to 40 needy families in Bhuj. Each kit included wheat flour (6 kg), rice (2 kg), mung fada (1 kg), pulses (1 kg), cooking oil (1 kg), sugar (1 kg), and tea powder (200 g). The total quantity distributed during this drive was approximately 490 kg.

On 2 June 2025, another round of ration distribution was conducted for 15 needy families in Adipur. Each family received a kit containing wheat flour (4 kg), rice (3 kg), pulses (1 kg), cooking oil (500 ml), salt (1 kg), sugar (1 kg), tea powder (250 g), turmeric powder (100 g), chili powder (100 g), mustard (100 g), and one bar of bath soap (100 g). The total items distributed included 60 kg of wheat flour, 45 kg of rice, 15 kg of pulses, 7.5 liters of oil, and 15 kg each of salt and sugar. Additional items included 3.75 kg of tea powder, 1.5 kg each of turmeric, chili powder, and mustard, and 1.5 kg of soap.

These relief activities reflect the ongoing commitment of both the Mission to serve the poor and underprivileged with compassion and care.
