On 24th May 2025, Ramakrishna Mission, Sri Vijaya Puram, organized a Distress Relief Service (Meals / Annadanam) in the Brookshabad area, near Corbyn’s Cove Beach, South Andaman District.
On this occasion, freshly prepared meals were served to 300 people in the surrounding locality. The meal comprised Khichri, vegetables, sweets, and a fruity pouch drink.
The preparation involved:
- Rice – 26 kg
- Dal – 10 kg
- Potatoes – 22 kg
- Mustard oil – 4 kg
- Required spices and seasonings
Prior to the distribution, a brief spiritual session was held in a local Rama temple, featuring discussions on the lives and teachings of Sri Ramakrishna, Holy Mother Sri Sarada Devi, and Swami Vivekananda, followed by group bhajans and Sri Ramanama sankirtanam with the participation of our ashrama team and local devotees.
