The Ramakrishna Centre of South Africa, Durban and its branches in Ladysmith, Estcourt, Pietermaritzburg, Chatsworth and Etete undertook Covid-19 Relief activities in May 2021.
Food hampers containing 2kg rice, 1kg pea dal, 1kg sugar beans, 500g macaroni, 100g masala, 750ml cooking oil, 1kg sugar, 1 litre milk, 100 tea-bags, soup, 1kg maize meal, 1kg salt, 520g jam, laundry soap, bath soap, toothpaste, etc. were distributed to 431 families in various regions. Cooked meals were provided to 2570 people in Ladysmith, Pietermaritzburg, Chatsworth and Etete.
The total number of beneficiaries was approximately 4294.
