Ramakrishna Mission Sevashrama, Kozhikode distributed ration kits to 300 severely economically affected families owing to the lockdown and quarantine restrictions imposed in the wake of Covid-19 pandemic the second wave in Kannanchery, Meenchanda, Panniyankara, Mezheripadam, Wayanattupadam, Maitri Road, Kottaram, Parvathypuram, Thiruvannur, and Payyanakkal areas of Kozhikode Municipal Corporation. Each kit consisted of 5 kgs rice, 2 kgs wheat flour, 1 kg semolina, 500 gms rice powder, 1 packet papad, 1 kg salt, 500 gms black gram, 500 gms vanpayar or lobia, 500 gms sambar dal, 1 kg sugar, 250 gms tea powder, 200 gms chilli powder, 200 gms coriander powder, 200 gms turmeric powder, 2 kgs onion, 1 kg potato, 30 nos of biscuits, 200 gms milk powder, 500 gms sunflower oil, 2 nos of bathing soap, 2 nos of washing soap, and 5 face masks.
