Competition Overview
Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Jhargram, organized a district-level yogasana competition across all eight blocks of Jhargram district from July 19 to 28, 2024. The competition was divided into two age groups: 8-13 years and 13-17 years. A total of 343 participants, comprising 169 boys and 174 girls, took part.
Participation and Prizes
All participants received a certificate and a book on Swami Vivekananda. The top three in each age group were awarded medals. Additionally, the top two winners from each block in both age groups (total 64) qualified for the finals.
Grand Finale
The finals were held at the ashrama on July 28, 2024.
Prize Distribution
Sri Biplab Roy Chowdhury, Minister of State (IC) for Fisheries, Aquaculture, Aquatic Resources, and Fishing Harbour Department, Government of West Bengal, presided over the prize distribution ceremony. Dr. Ashok Pradhan, a renowned homeopathic consultant, was the chief guest. The top 12 winners received medals, certificates, and cash prizes of Rs. 2000, Rs. 1000, and Rs. 500 respectively.
