On Sunday, June 16th, 2024, Ramakrishna Math, Madurai, in collaboration with Aravind Eye Hospital organized a free cataract surgery camp. Patients who attended the screening camp received a pre-surgical evaluation to determine eligibility.

- Patients selected for surgery: 58
- Patients successfully operated on: 53
- Patients provided glasses: 26
Following their surgery and discharge from the hospital, patients received ration kits to aid in their recovery. Each kit contained:
- 1 Kg Dal
- 1 Kg Sugar
- 1/2 Kg Tamarind
- 1 Kg Cooking Oil
- 200 gm Chilli Powder
- 1/2 Kg Sambar Powder
- 1 Kg Sooji
- 1 Medimix Soap
- 1 Carry Bag
