The recent heavy rains have caused severe flooding across North Bengal, including Jalpaiguri district. Low-lying areas have been submerged, displacing families.
Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama Jalpaiguri to the Rescue:
In response to this crisis, the Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama Jalpaiguri has undertaken two phases of flood relief efforts:
- Phase 1 (July 14, 2024): Provided relief to 131 families in Chamakdangi and Laltong Basti of Sevoke District.
- Phase 2 (July 19, 2024): Delivered aid to 75 families in Todgaon of Mal Block District, Jalpaiguri.
