Ramakrishna Mission, Kasundia, in Howrah, has initiated a three-day relief operation to aid flood-affected communities and distributed relief packets to a total of 1,200 beneficiaries across two locations.
The relief packets included essential items such as biscuits (200 gms), sugar (500 gms), chira (1 Kg), milk powder (200 gms), bread (half pound), tea packets, and muri (puffed rice, 500 gms).
The distribution was carried out over two days:
- On October 1st, 900 beneficiaries received packets in Shibgachia & Kule Bhatora (Amta Block II), Bhairabpur, Hayatpur, Kargilmore & Palaspai (Khanakul Block).
- On October 3rd, 300 beneficiaries received packets in Pearapur & Gaja (Udaynarayanpur Block).
In addition to the above, 200 beneficiaries on October 1, 2024, and 300 beneficiaries on October 3, 2024, were provided with packets of muri (puffed rice) weighing 500 gms each.
This relief effort by the Ramakrishna Mission is providing much-needed support to those affected by the floods in Howrah.
