Flood Relief: Kasundia, Howrah, September 2024

Ramakrishna Mission, Kasundia, Howrah, West Bengal


Ramakrishna Mission, Kasundia in Howrah launched a three-day relief operation to assist flood-affected communities in Uttar Bhatora, Dakshin Bhatora, Mankur, Deygram, and Hayatpur (Udayanpur Block – II) from September 24 to 26, 2024.

Relief packages were distributed to a total of 3000 affected individuals. Each package contained the following essential items:

  • Food:
    • 1 liter of Bisleri water
    • 1 big packet of biscuits
    • 500 grams of muri (puffed rice)
    • 250 grams of chanachur (a spicy snack)
    • 125 grams of tea
    • 250 grams of sugar
    • 500 grams of chira (flattened rice)
    • Cooked khichuri

On September 26, 2024, 101 sarees, lungis, and puffed rice were also distributed to those in need.
