Flood Relief Activities by Ramakrishna Mission, Sribhumi (2nd to 16th June 2025)
As part of the ongoing flood relief efforts, Ramakrishna Mission, Sribhumi undertook a sustained multi-day initiative to support flood-affected individuals across various regions of Sribhumi district.
From 2nd to 6th June 2025, cooked food (Khichuri and pickles) was distributed daily to approximately 900 flood-affected individuals, benefiting a total of 4,500 people. This continuous effort aimed to provide immediate nourishment to those severely impacted by the floods.
Simultaneously, surveys for relief-kit requirements were carried out, and packing of relief materials was undertaken in anticipation of broader support.
A medical camp was also conducted at Sunairpur, where attending doctors provided essential health check-ups and distributed free medicines to the affected residents.
Relief kit distribution followed in three phases:
- 8th June 2025: Relief kits were distributed to 512 families in Sribhumi Town and adjoining areas
- 11th June 2025: 210 families from Bhanga and Suprakandi areas received support
- 12th June 2025: 200 families from Ghograkona, Dararpar, and Kayasthagram areas were assisted
- 15th June 2025: 666 families from Sribhumi Town and its surrounding areas—including Umapati, Betail, Indira Colony, and others
- 16th June 2025: 402 families flood Patelnagar, Brajendranagarand its surrounding areas
Each relief kit contained the following items:
- Rice – 5 kg
- Dal – 1 kg
- Potato – 2 kg
- Soyabean – 500 gm
- Chira – 1 kg
- Cooking Oil – 500 ml
- Sugar – 500 gm
- Biscuit – 1 big-size packet
- Milk Powder – 1 packet
- Bathing Soap – 2 pieces
