Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama had organized a free eye camp on 17 December 2017, in association with Sitarampur Ramakrishna Sarada Sangha with screening for visual problems and free cataract eye operation with intraocular placement of lens. Patients were screened for eye disorders by doctors from Eye Centre, Lions (Club) Asansol East, the team being headed bt Dr. J. K. Khandelwal. 194 patients were treated, 102 patients received spectacles after refraction test and operation. 69 cataract operation was done. Free medicines and eye drops were provided to the patients. Food packets were served to all the patients who attended the camp.
