Hyderabad Math Celebrates Golden Jubilee
Day 1: Educational Workshop
Ramakrishna Math, Hyderabad, marked the second phase of its golden jubilee celebrations with a national-level educational workshop on July 27, 2024. The event brought together over 1,100 educators, including 12 experienced monks, Dr. B.S. Murthy (Director, IIT-Hyderabad), and several college heads.
The workshop focused on “India’s Educational Vision and the Role of Educators,” exploring the implementation of NEP 2020 and the relevance of Swami Vivekananda’s teachings in modern education. Participants engaged in insightful discussions, group activities, and interactive sessions.
Each participant received a participation certificate and a “Rebuild India” booklet.
Day 2: Spiritual Retreat
On July 28, 2024, a spiritual retreat was organized for devotees and the public. The day began with Vedic chanting and guided meditation, followed by breakfast. Swami Siteshananda led a Gita recitation session, and soulful bhajans were presented by Br. Mahendrachaitanya and Swami Mahaprajnananda.
Senior monks shared their experiences and memories of Swami Ranganathanandaji Maharaj. A yati puja honoring the monks concluded the retreat, followed by a lunch prasadam.
The event was graced by a special blessing from the Most Revered Swami Gautamananda ji Maharaj, President, Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission, Belur Math, which was read by Swami Shitikantananda, Ramakrishna Math, Hyderabad.
